“ peaceful warrior”

A beautiful light has been taken from this world - he has been called from this place and his journey here completed.

Don Molloy -beloved Father, friend, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, teacher, coach, and steadfast warrior.

Has been called to join the majority of his clan.

His legacy of strength will be carried on through all those who knew him. Truly an end of an era...Don was a chivalrous charismatic gentleman, who was always kind, patient, gracious, easy going, friendly, but not ashamed to be faithful or patriotic. He was a devoted friend, whatever the circumstance, and always his authentic self.

A man from one of the toughest generation of our time, with Warrior blood, coursing through his veins, made him an enigma .His strength and stoicism was extraordinary in all parts of his life. A “walk it off” mentality he seemed impervious to pain. Allowing him to weather the difficult journeys of life with dignity and grace. Traits he gifted to his girls, helping us weather some pretty significant “life storm’s.”

He lived by the code of "Do unto others as you would have done to you,”. Exemplifying that when we fall, to always get back up, dust yourself off, learn from it and move on. Reminding us to be better, wiser, and less whiney humans. As he would say “don’t sweat the small stuff”. A lesson I’m personally still trying to acquire.

His eyes were always so brilliant and could catch the light perfectly. A quiet presence with a sharp wit to accompany his tremendous sense of humor. After eliciting an unsuspecting quick witted response; perfectly timed and flawlessly delivered, catching everyone off guard. He would be so tickled with himself on this achievement, a charming smirk would materialize with that mischievous glint in his eyes. Surrendering to a beautiful inviting smile, that lit up his entire face, then evolving into a contagious giggle, that usually erupted into a genuine heartfelt laughter that you couldn’t help but laugh along with him.

He touched so many lives through coaching and teaching. Everyone seemed to remember Mr. Molloy. So many stories from his students when meeting them. He left a long lasting pragmatic impression. He received the nickname of "Ghost" due to his stealthy step and suddenly appearing and disappearing . This attribute stayed with him. Able to materialize in a hall or doorway silently, he would continually unintentionally startle his eldest - his smirk unable to be disguised or repressed when she scolded him for it. Sometimes unable to hold back his mischievous giggle. That sound of his giggle will truly be missed.

How you treat other people....is the most enduring impact you can leave on this earth. No one lived this more than my dad. He was forever kind, accepting of others, extremely patient and always strived to do the very best he could-every day. May we all take a page from his playbook and be more authentic and kind each day.

Rejoining so many of our loved ones. ….I know he’ll be in good company. I wish that made it easier. This loss leaves such a void and is so keenly felt. However, Love Leaves a Legacy that I am honored to uphold.

My dad always loved pie - I would often try to pinpoint a favorite, and it was always a challenge! Dad would say “I’ve never met a pie I didn’t like." Give him a piece of pie, a good cup of coffee, and it could remedy all. It seems, stress does not exist in the presence of pie, and fosters more love in the world. So, in celebration of Dad, go out and get some pie, share some pie, or eat the whole pie. If coffee pairs well for you, please combine the two, and may it release some stress, reveal happy memories, and stir feelings of love.

You are so missed mi Da.
