Andrew Edward Phillips

Andrew Edward Phillips, 71, passed away December 13th 2021 from a heart attack in Laguna Niguel, CA. Although a failing heart took him away from this world, his kind manner left an imprint on those who knew him. Andy was born September 16, 1950 to Joanne and Edward Phillips in Pasadena, California. Andy graduated from San Marino High School in California and attended Sacramento City College when he moved to Northern California to be closer to his mother's family in 1968. He remained in the Sacramento area until he relocated to Laguna Niguel in 2015. Andy's many passions included food, photography, music, fitness and walking all over Laguna Niguel and Dana Point. He loved celebrating his birthday at Proud Mary's Restaurant each year and especially enjoyed beach hikes along Strands Beach with his sister Linda, followed by lunch at The Shwack Beach Grill in Dana Point. Andy is survived by his sisters, Linda Hess of Laguna Niguel and Stacy Dann of Prescott, Arizona. There will be a private ocean burial for the family in April 2022. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
