Betty Owen

Elizabeth Jane Owen passed away on January 8, 2022 after a sudden downturn in health. Betty was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 16, 1931 to Lester and Irene Becker. After graduating from Wells High School, Betty enjoyed success as a professional model, then business administrator and later found great purpose and meaning as a loving mother and homemaker. A long-time resident of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Betty passed away at the age of 90. Betty leaves behind, Jack, with whom she enjoyed holy matrimony for 67 years, her daughter Kathy, her son Robert, her son Doug and her dog Buddee. She leaves her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other members of her extraordinary family. Betty also leaves many friends. Betty met her husband Jack in Colorado Springs. They lived in Connecticut and Illinois before arriving in California. Betty had a powerful presence and radiant loving glow. She was a kind, generous, loving wife, mother and friend. Betty was the light inside our home. We miss her deeply. A small memorial service will be held at Mount of Olives Church in Mission Viejo, California and Betty’s ashes will be placed at the Miramar National Cemetery.
