Cindy Maria Leonard

If the days dont seem quite as bright and cheerful as they once were since October 16, 2019 it may be due to the fact that the brightest and most beautiful smile disappeared from our world. Cindy (Boucher) Leonard passed away due to complications resulting from an ischemic stroke suffered on October 4th. Cindys spirit, smile, love of life, and most of all her laughter will be celebrated on Saturday November 16th at Huntington State Beach. Laughter and tears will begin at 2:00pm. A celebration of life will be held in WA in March. Please contact her husband Lance for further details. Cindy was born in Tacoma, WA to Bernard Boucher and Anne Boucher on December 6th, 19...(does the year really matter). Cindy was the youngest of three daughters and grew up in Tacoma, spending time in Idaho and Alaska. She attended Holy Rosary, Bellarmine High School and graduated from Foss High School in 1984. Cindy continued her education at Green River CC and UW where she attained degrees in accounting and finance. Cindy married and gave birth to Kelsey (Cowell) Graham and Kasey Cowell. She was a loving mother who enjoyed her children, watching them play sports, and spending time with them at Kalaloch and Ocean Shores. Cindy married Lance Leonard in 2009 on a beach in Maui surrounded by close family. She is survived by her husband, sister Sandra (Boucher) Handy, brother-in-law Tim Handy, daughters Kelsey and Chamberlyn (Leonard) Underwood, son Kasey, sons-in-law Jake Graham and Jack Underwood, grandchildren Izabella, Isaac, and Kayden Graham, mother-in-law Doris Leonard, sister-in-law Tricia Leonard, eldest sister Cheryl Elkinton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother and father, father-in-law Michael Leonard, and nephew Bradly Barboza. Cindy, all our love, you will be missed. You are our Sunshine, our only Sunshine. The celebration at Huntington State Beach will be held at a fire pit south of the Brookhurst Entrance, near the river jetty bridge. Beach attire, weather appropriate. Please bring you beach seating for your comfort. Hot dogs and smores to be cooked over the fire pit In Cindys honor.
