David Israel Armendariz

David Israel Armendariz of Garden Grove, California, born on July 7, 1958 passed away on Aug 12, 2026, at the age of 68. He was married to his life long partner, Randy Pesqueira on September 6, 2008. David was a graduate of Costa Mesa High School, Orange Coast College and graduated with a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University.

In addition to his last job working as Chief Relationship Officer for the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, he also held the job of Executive Director, Special Olympics Orange County Region, Director of Development & Community Relations at Alzheimer’s Family Services Center and worked at AIDS Services Foundation O.C. Since retiring, his goal was to care for Randy, travel, play golf, watch the Lakers, Dodgers, tennis, assist in the care of his mother and work on his beautiful home garden.

David, is the son of Josue (Jay) Israel & Margaret M. Armendariz (92) of El Paso, Texas. His siblings, Margie Armendariz Crawford of Woodstock, GA and Rosette Martinez residing in Whittier, CA. Numerous family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces who live in Texas, Virginia, Georgia, California along with his dear close friends and colleagues mourn his unexpected passing.

The Celebration of Life for David, along with Randy Pesqueira who passed on August 28, 2026 will be held at the home of David and Randy on, November 1, 2026 between 1:00-5:00pm.
