In Loving Memory of David L. MeierNovember 8, 1960 – August 23, 2025

David L. Meier, 64, of Coto De Caza, California, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, David brought warmth, wit, and generosity to every chapter of his life.

He was the beloved son of Frank and Mary (Wilberding) Meier, both of whom preceded him in death. David is survived by his devoted wife, Donna (Rumph) Meier, and their three cherished pups who brought him endless joy and companionship.

David’s love for family was unwavering. He is survived by his siblings: Lou (Sherry) Meier, Ann (Dennis) Weatherford, Matt Meier, and Maureen (Matt) Hutt. He was a proud and playful uncle to Clarissa, Andy, Frankie, Laura, Alex, Abby, Colleen, Madeline, Claire, Nicholas, Caroline, and Ethan—each of whom held a special place in his heart.

A graduate of Franklin Central High School and Butler University, David built a successful career in technology sales spanning over four decades. His professional life was marked by integrity, dedication, and a knack for building lasting relationships.

In his youth, David was an avid athlete, embracing a wide range of sports. As an adult, he found his stride on the tennis court—where he met the love of his life, Donna—and on the golf course, where he enjoyed both the game and the camaraderie. He had a creative spirit in the kitchen, constantly experimenting with new recipes and sharing his culinary creations with friends and family. And through it all, David remained a fiercely loyal fan of Butler basketball, cheering on his team with passion and pride.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Coto De Caza Golf and Racquet Club, where loved ones will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and reflect on the joy he brought to so many.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all who have reached out during this difficult time. Your kindness and support have been deeply felt and will never be forgotten.

David’s legacy lives on in the laughter he sparked, the meals he shared, the games he played, and the love he gave so freely. He will be missed beyond measure.
