Dennis Lynn Randall Md

Dennis Lynn Randall, MD died peacefully in the early morning hours of December 17, 2024, at his home of 40 years in Laguna Beach, CA, with loving family by his side.

Dennis was born in Madison, Tennessee on January 11, 1941, to Orville and Maude Randall. Dennis had two brothers, Jon Mac and Larry. Dennis grew up in Nashville, and attended high school in nearby Madison where he met and eventually married Carolyn Anne Luck.

Dennis graduated from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and from University of Tennessee Medical School in 1965 before serving in Vietnam with the Marine Corps as a Naval physician. Upon returning home, he entered the Naval Reserves Medical Corps, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander and successfully completed his residency in Radiology at University of California, Irvine. Dennis practiced at Mission Hospital until he retired in 1999.

He was loved by his many colleagues at Mission Hospital and made many friends in his beloved Laguna Beach community, where he enjoyed all the sunsets in glorious splendor often sharing them with everyone online. His love of reading, history, the sciences, and politics with his ever curious mind often led to lively discussions at dinner.

He is survived by his son Dennis Randall Jr. (Brooke) of Aptos, CA; son Greg Randall of Laguna Beach, CA; daughter Kristen Berens (Shawn) of Indianapolis, IN and 4 grandchildren: Pearson, Portia, Jackson, and William.

His ashes are to be scattered at sea with accompanying full military honors. May he forever enjoy heavenly sunsets!
