Elaine Theresa Skrinskus

August 13, 1941 — November 8, 2022

Elaine Skrinskus 81, died peacefully at home on November 8th, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Albert and Bernice Poblocki. Her family relocated to Round Lake, Illinois and she graduated from Round Lake High School. In 1960, she met the love of her life, John Skrinskus, whom she married twice in 1961 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. As a couple, they completed their lifelong goal of building their own home, took their second honeymoon to Hawaii and loved it so much they moved the family there, eventually settling in Southern California.


Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who poured her heart into those around her. Elaine loved celebrating all holidays, especially Christmas. She was an avid walker who completed countless races including a marathon. She will be remembered for her creative and artistic talent, love for cooking, gardening, photography, reading, and love for travel. All who knew her feel blessed to have her a part of their lives.


Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Bernice and Albert Poblocki and sister Mary Stout. She is survived by her loving husband John Skrinskus, sisters Sandy Simons and Shirley Stokes, son Craig Skrinskus, daughters Deborah Wirtz and Lori (Frank) Villanueva, grandsons Matthew Villanueva (Kelly), Ryan Villanueva, granddaughters Rebekah Glaser, Rachel Snyder (David) and Alexa Villanueva, and great-grandchildren Gabe, Ben, Aidan, Macy, Caleb and Isla Blue. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


We will always carry your memory in our hearts. A private memorial will be held.
