Remembering Frank AlonsoApril 17, 1974 – October 8, 2026

If you had the privilege of knowing Francis J. Alonso, chances are you simply knew him as Frank.

Frank was born in New Jersey, but California became his true home. At 18, with little more than the belongings he could fit into a backpack, he headed west and created a life filled with friendship, laughter, adventure, and people he loved. Along the way, an amazing circle of friends became the family he chose for himself.

Frank didn't just live life, he embraced it.

He loved good food, music, the theater, and especially traveling. Frank was happiest when he was exploring somewhere new or planning his next adventure. Planes, trains, cruise ships, it didn't really matter. What mattered most was going somewhere, experiencing life, and sharing those experiences with the people closest to him.

Wherever Frank went, laughter usually followed. He brought people together, made memories everywhere he went, and knew how to turn an ordinary day into a good time.

When illness became part of Frank's journey, he faced it the same way he faced life: with strength, grace, humor, and an incredible attitude.

Frank wanted the people he loved to remember the good times. The trips. The laughter. The dinners. The music. The adventures. And all those stories that start with, "Remember that time with Frank..."

Those memories are his legacy.

Frank will be deeply missed, but the joy, laughter, friendship, and adventure he brought into so many lives will never be forgotten.

Frank is survived by his mother, Deborah Manuel, father, Hugh Kampe, brothers, Ken Kampe, Pat Kampe, Tim Kampe (Katie), and Jeff Kampe. Many extended family members and friends.
