Frank Henry Scanlan, 80, was born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 17, 1943, and passed away at his home in Aliso Viejo, California, on November 2, 2023.
Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sherrie; son Sean, daughter Brittany and husband Mark, and his three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Eric.
Frank served in the United States Air Force from February 1965 through August 1968. He spent the majority of his working years as a steal salesman.
Frank was a generous spirit who believed and practiced quiet service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member of the AA Community, and had been sober for over 50 years. He was fond of animals, and throughout the years owned and cared for dogs, cats, a parrot, a rabbit and a turtle.
Plans are underway on how to best honor Frank. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Frank’s name to Ashland House https://ashland-home.org/ashland-donations/ or New Beginnings for Animals of Mission Viejo https://greatpets.org/memorial .
May he rest in peace.
