James Anthony Boulware, 65 known by his family and friends as Jim, passed away peacefully in his home in Mission Viejo on Thursday, September 29th after a fierce year long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Jim was born at St. Luke’s Hospital in Pasadena, California to his loving parents James Boulware and Kathleen Reifer Boulware. He grew up in the San Gabriel Valley with his four siblings Stephanie (Brennan), Michele (Pacheco), Michael, and Melanie (Blayney). He attended local schools before receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Los Angeles.
Jim married Susan Hunter, the love of his life and was married for almost forty years. Together they have three children, Meghan (Hoime), James, and Amy (Marianno), as well as six grandchildren.
Jim was blessed with a career he loved at IBM for forty-one years. He loved all sports, but was partial to golfing, baseball, basketball, and tennis. He had a knack for sports announcing and his humor and famous sayings will live on in those who can’t help but to repeat them. Jim was a man of unwavering faith, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace in heaven.
Funeral Services to be set at a later date, in lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be sent to Pancreatic Center Action Network or the American Cancer Society.
