Jerry Chao-An Tu

Jerry Chao-An Tu, 79, of Lake Forest, California, died from cancer and went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2026. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Jerry was born on January 24, 1947 in Xi'an, China. He was married to Susan Shu-Cheng (Mong) Tu. He grew up in Taiwan. He studied Mechanical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. He received a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey, and a master's degree in Engineering Mechanics from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He was a devoted member at Akron Chinese Christian Church, Pittsburgh Chinese Church, and Chinese Baptist Church of Central Orange County.

Jerry is survived by his wife Susan of 54 years, children Alexander (Evert) and Benjamin, niece Evelyn (Hin) Lee, and grandsons Nathan and Matthew.
