John Thomas "Tom" Beeson was born on May 9, 1939 in Greensburg, Indiana and passed on August 8, 2019 surrounded by his family in his home of Westminster, California. John was the son of Roy H. Beeson and Mary Thomas Beeson and father of Tonia Beeson who proceeds him in passing. John is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Sylvia Beeson, son and daughter in-law Roy and Angie Beeson, daughters Johnna and Karla Beeson, son, Noel and daughter, Lisa Plata. He was the proud grandfather and great grandfather to Neil Beeson and his children Joleen and River, Desa Dowell and her children Aiden and RaeLynn and his grandchildren Damon and Monique Miller. John was raised in Greensburg where he participated in a wide range of activities from Hi-Y, chorus, student council, drama and band were he developed a great love of the trumpet. John went on to attend Purdue University where he was very proud to be the third chair trumpet player for the marching band. John then moved to Kankakee, Il where he worked for the Burger King Corporation and raised his children from his first marriage to Marlene Boylan (Bausback of Greensburg, In. ) John then met his current wife, Sylvia in Chicago in 1977. In 1979 John then headed out west with Sylvia, Noel and Lisa to Westminster, Ca. Johns new job took him into the jewelry business which he enjoined and later changed careers to tax preparation for the past 20 years. Johns passions were RV camping with his wife, family, friends, and working with his hands. He was a devout gardner and loved his plants, especially his bonsai trees. He was a true talent at building and fixing anything. He was a very accomplished all around handyman from building a fence around the house, bunk beds, book shelves to fixing a washer, or computer. Anything which needed repair John was there for his family. John was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather to his family and kind neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in Huntington Beach, Ca September 7, 2019. A Private family service will be held at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, In on October 26, 2019.
