John F. Curcio John F. Curcio, 63, of Laguna Niguel, California, formerly of Scranton, passed from this life on May 8th, 2017. His loving wife of 39 years, Wendy (nee Morgan) was at his side. John was the son of Frank and Miranda Curcio, both deceased, of Scranton. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sisters, Linda Jones and husband James of Mechanicsburg, PA and Patricia Stella and husband Michael of Norwood, NJ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his 'brothers' Mitchell, Tim and Jamie Morgan. John was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and co-owner of Windsor Studio in Scranton from 1983 until his move to California in 1987 where he established Concept Framing International, and DaVinci Digitale printing. His outstanding frame designs grace the works of world famous artists and photographers. John brought skill, passion and imagination to all he did. He said, Art moves your soul; if it doesn't move your soul, it's not Art. A Celebration of Life was held at the Curcio home in Laguna Niguel, on May 21st, where John was remembered by friends and family for his kindness, creativity, generosity and loyalty. Those who spoke painted a portrait of John as an inspiring friend who was eternally optimistic and encouraging. He was fearless in tackling any project and always gave more than was expected, delighting people with his endless ideas and ingenuity. He was also remembered with laughter for puns and jokes delivered with innocence, a gentle smile and a twinkle in his eye. John was a true Renaissance man. From restoring antique cars, to jewelry making, to stained glass windows and most recently oil painting, he approached everything with excitement. In quieter moments he enjoyed reading and meditation and was ever mindful of growing as a spiritual person. He found beauty and magic in ordinary things and encouraged others to "Choose joy" every day.
