Jonathan Raymond Sobier

Jonathan Raymond Sobier, resident of Trabuco Canyon CA, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2023 at the age of 42. Jon was born January 31, 1981 in Mt. Clemens, MI to Gary and Marcia Sobier. In 1997, the family relocated to California. He graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 1999 and got his BS in web development from Baker College. He spent his entire career in retail sales, most recently as a manager of a pet supply store. This is fitting given his immense love of animals. He was well loved by all his customers and co-workers through the years.

Jon had a jovial personality and was always the life of the party. He loved theater and drama and would make people laugh with his spot on impressions and ability to transform himself into characters befitting every situation. He also loved music and dancing and would randomly pull loved ones into song and dance. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, sister, Nicole Owens (Parks), nephews Landon and Myles, maternal grandmother, Florence Rotary and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was always happiest near water, whether that be the fresh water lakes of Michigan or the ocean in California. Spreading of his ashes and a celebration of life will occur in both Michigan and California.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour, or a day. Also, take time to pet all the animals.
