My name was Joe Mazzo but everyone called me “Jersey Joe”. I was born on September 30, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. I have left behind two children, Lana and J.J., and three beautiful grandchildren, Jenna, Brooklyn, and London, as well as two great grandchildren, Giavanna and Francesca.
I served in the Army during the Korean War and I loved the experience. I am very proud to have served my country honorably. I attended Camden University in New Jersey for a short while and studied marketing. I worked in sales and marketing in the furniture business and even in furniture design, utilizing my creativity and passion for almost 50 years.
I always enjoyed spending time in piano bars, driving a Cadillac, and meeting women, as I was known as a ladies’ man and the life of the party. I especially enjoyed dressing nice and you would often see me wearing my favorite hat, the Fedora. I really enjoyed singing and listening to The Rat Pack, especially Frank Sinatra and Big Band music, dancing and drinking Cuervo Gold with my friends!
