Judy Anne Jackson

It is with a sad heart that I am announcing the passing of my sister Judy Anne Jackson. She passed away last week at her residence.

Judy had a lifetime of friends, family, and experiences that made her the sister and family member who cared to reach out when you needed it (and sometimes when you didn’t). We grew up playing sports from soccer to volleyball, and more, where she had an older brother helping her build character and skills that led her to a college scholarship.

Judy went from Hofstra to UMBC for undergrad and followed it with a criminal justice degree from Columbia South Carolina. Eventually this led to a life in law enforcement in both Los Angeles and Orange County. She was police officer of the year in Orange County, which was a crowning achievement. Later she became an instructor at the OC police academy. She retired early due to a nagging back injury, but expanded into dog fostering, and local involvement in her neighborhood and church.

We will miss our sister Judy every day but wish her the best in her next life.
