Kathleen Elizabeth Hoovler-Teal

Kathleen Elizabeth Hoovler-Teal, 81 years old, Laguna Niguel, Ca. passed away after a long struggle with illnesses on February 28th, 2023, in Mission Viejo, Ca.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to Mother Genieve Onorato and Father Edward Young. She grew up in New Milford, Connecticut with her Sister Patricia A. Hill, Brother, Tom F. Young and survived by her brother, Robert E. Young. She served in our US Navy. Widowed wife of Raymond L. Teal Jr. Mother to Rae Jaclyn Hoovler-Teal and grandma to Ethan Joseph Connors. Kathy was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, “cool aunt”, grandma and friend. She had big hair, an attitude to match, no sense of direction and snorted when she laughed. She loved deeply and sometimes hurt just as deeply telling dirty jokes all along the way. She survived catechism and served our country proudly. She was a mom and a grandma, and she always did her very best, she will be missed dearly.

Loving God, although my tears are flowing, I feel blessed that when my mother took her last breath, she had entered heaven’s gates. I miss her dearly, but I cling to your promise of salvation. May she rest in Paradise until we are caught up in the clouds with you. Help me to honor her memory by living a life of selfless love and service. Amen.

She will be laid to rest in a columbarium next to her loving husband at the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA. Date to be determined.
