Keith Alan Johnson

March 2, 1956 — March 18, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Keith Alan Johnson. Keith left us on March 18, 2024 at the age of 68 years old. He was a resident of Lake Forest, California for over 38 years. Keith had recently retired as a Senior Sales Engineer for the company Conquest Technical Sales covering the Orange County Territory. His colleagues shared that he was passionate about business and had a gentle and genuine way with customers. Always the salesman, his license plates shared with humor the quest for the purchase order for a sale. ( PO PLEEZ )

Keith was born to parents Betty and Lloyd Johnson and grew up in Chesterton, Indiana. He is survived by his 4 sisters ; Vivian, Patricia, Lorrie and Becky as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He lived in Maryland and New Mexico before settling down in California. He attended the University of Maryland, Orange Coast College and Mary Mount College studying Business.

As a youth Keith enjoyed ice skating and ice hockey on Coffee Creek and sledding on Vetter’s Hill. He loved animals and had a variety of pets including dogs, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, turtles, salamanders, a white rat and a raccoon named Bandit. In California he had two Minx cats that ruled his house. Later he enjoyed travel, pool, skiing, golf, hiking, hot air balloon rides, white water rafting, camping and exploring new parks with friends. He worked hard and played hard and enjoyed collecting art and other collectables. He inherited his father’s kind, quiet gentle soul and his eyes would twinkle when he could use a little wit and humor to make you laugh.

Just days before he passed he had sold his house and was looking forward to relocating in Arizona and spending summers in the Pacific Northwest. Rest in peace my baby brother, in your new home in heaven.

A memorial will be held in Indiana at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to any of his favorite charities: Feed the Children, USO, Wounded Warriors,

St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Toys for Tots. Please also consider the American Heart Foundation and the National Parkinson’s Foundation.

Since our family is mostly from the midwest and east, we would love for people to leave a message for the tribute book so we could hear from all the people Keith knew in California.
