We are saddened to announce the sudden death of Kristin Leigh “Harris” McDonald on May 21, 2022. Kristin was born March 29, 1969 in San Gabriel, and attended the Arcadia schools before her graduation with honors from San Diego State College. Kristin was the daughter of Bob and Lu Harris, the sister of Rick who lives in Chicago with Karen his wife and 4 daughters, and wife of Chris for 22 years starting their life together in Pompano beach Florida. She worked for Cannon Communications and PTC coordinating trade show exhibit booths. They moved to Lake Forest in 2004 and attended Saddleback Church in that city . She was the mother of 3 fabulous kids, Zach (20), Ryan (18), and Jordyn (14) . Kristin cheered everyone up with her big infectious smile and her love of Jesus. In 1987 she was honored to be named the Queen of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, representing the city at the Parade and Rose Bowl Game wonderfully with her outgoing and relating personality. She served that role with Pelé, the famous soccer player, who was the Grand Marshal. During that year, she made numerous appearances and met many celebrities on TV and radio shows representing the tournament. A highlight of that year was the trip she took with her mom, Lu, to Osaka Japan to participate in their special parade. Kristin’s Christian faith and love for the Lord was the propelling influence on everything she did. Her love of God, family, and friends was demonstrated every place she went and into everyone she met. Her unexpected abrupt death was a shock to all who knew and loved her. We will miss her terribly but know that for all who have a relationship with Jesus Christ we WILL see her again in heaven, PRAISE GOD!
