Leslie was born in Conneaut, Ohio in 1941, and was the second of three sons of Mary and Homer Doak. Leslie had a long and varied career spanning 50 years, working for the Foreign Service and then as a college professor, teaching international business and geography.
Leslie was an avid outdoorsman, patriot, and proud member of the SAR, who loved spending time camping in the deserts of California and traveling the world.
He lost his battle with kidney cancer and has gone home to be with the Lord. Beloved mentor, husband, and father, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer.
May light perpetual shine upon him.
