Lisa Denise Lavanchy

Lisa Lavanchy, 55 years of age, from Rancho Santa Margarita passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was surrounded by family members and friends at Saddleback Memorial Hospital in Laguna Hills, California entering eternal life in heaven. Lisa was born on March 19, 1968 with her twin, Yolanda, to parents Louis and Herlinda Torres in Smithtown, New York. Lisa was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend and will be sorely missed by all, especially by her twin sister Yolanda. They shared a special twin connection and enjoyed doing many things in life together.

Lisa lived a short while in Centereach, on Long Island, New York. She then moved with her parents and family to sunny California in the 70’s, living a short time in Dana Point Harbor at the Marina Inn, San Juan Capistrano, and finally settling in a wonderful Laguna Hills neighborhood. She attended Lomarena Elementary when it was brand-new, Los Alisos Junior High, and then a new Laguna Hills High School. Her Junior & Senior years she spent half a day on studies, then half day at Coast Regional Occupational Program for Cosmetology School. When she graduated from Laguna Hills High School in 1986, she received her high school diploma and her California State License to practice Cosmetology.

She was an assistant, a hair dresser and at one time owner of Garbo’s Salon in Laguna Niguel. She had lots of fun with the owners, coworkers and building a clientele at several salons and making her clients beautiful.

Lisa raised her three children in beautiful Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Lisa loved life and loved to dance. But most important she loved her children. She is survived by Tiani and Sienna (daughters), Dante (son), Yolanda (twin sister), Dolores (sister), Louis and Lenny (brothers), and Louis and Herlinda Torres (parents).

Her funeral mass will be held at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church on Friday, March 22, at 10:00-11:00 a.m. The address is 22082 Antonio Parkway, RSM, CA 92688.

She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery on Friday, March 22 at 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The address is 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held at Tijeras Creek Golf Club on Saturday, March 23 at 12:00-3:00 p.m. We will meet at The Clubhouse and the address is 29082 Tijeras Creek, RSM, CA 92688.
