Maria Piay De Guzman On Tuesday, December 12, 2017 Piay took her last big breath. She was 44, survived by her one true love-her son Noah, by her mother Pilar, sister Arpie, brother Ruben, Danny, and Gerald, nephews, Derrick, Kevin, Isaiah, Jordan, and her only niece Kiana. Piay was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma on March 16, 2017. Her biggest battle ever. She won this battle by teaching us as well as herself the greatest lesson of all; true, unconditional love, compassion for each other, and selfless service to those who need it most. She worked tirelessly for over 20 years burning the midnight oil with doctors, and her staff on finding ways to treat those like her battling with cancer. Her passion to help and diligence in her work was apparent. Everything she did was for Noah, for her family. She fought for those who couldnt fight for themselves. She was truly fearless. A Celebration of Piays life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. Kilian Catholic Church 26872 Estanciero Drive Mission Viejo, CA 92691. Luncheon to follow.
