Michael Robin James Fitzpatrick

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael R.J. Fitzpatrick announce his passing on Friday May 24, 2019. Beloved husband and best friend of Inara. Devoted father of Kathryn and Liam. Michael is survived by his sister, Belinda of Kingston, Canada; nephew, Neil of Ottawa; and niece, Torrie of British Columbia. Michael was a great sports enthusiast, especially hockey and basketball. Most of all, he loved to watch his children on playing fields and ice rinks. Sailing was his passion as he spent many summers racing on Lake Ontario, as well as volunteering at CORK - Canadian Olympic Regatta Kingston. Michael volunteered with Boy Scouts and was extremely proud when his son became an Eagle Scout. He led by example and there was never a job too large or small that he would not tackle. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important. Michael was a strong determined man. We will miss him everyday.
