Nick Khodadad Nasrollah "Nick" Khodadad, a beloved and devoted family man, died unexpectedly at his home on August 24, 2017 at the age of 81. Nick is survived by his wife, Shahin "Sherry"; his children, Amy and Ali; Daughter-in-law, Julie; grandchildren, Sean, Riley, Samantha, and Jordan & Allison; siblings, Abdi & Simin, Mehri, and Kazem & Shahnaz; Sister-in-law, Mahin and Zizi; Nieces and Nephews, Maryam & Hamid Reza, Leyla & Farzad, Shahrzad & Homayoon, Behram & Tina, Behroo, Ali Reza, Nazanin, and Mahmood & Mariam; and many more family members. Nick was born in Tehran, Iran on May 11, 1936. He came to America in 1958 to attend Park College and received a BS Industrial Engineer degree from Lamar State College of Technology in Beaumont, Texas. He spent most of his career managing important projects as an engineer. After three months of dating, Nick married Sherry, a Registered Nurse working at KU Medical Center, on May 11, 1963. They were married for 54 wonderful loving years. They loved entertaining, spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new foods, and experiencing different cultures. Nick and Sherry are a great example to all of what real love is. Nicks interest included: playing intramural soccer in college, listening to classical music, collecting coins, playing cards, watching college and professional football and basketball, keeping up with current world events and US politics, researching anything to do with Iran, and reading avidly. He enjoyed gardening, maintaining his fruit trees, and spending time with family. Nicks favorite sport teams were the Oklahoma Sooners, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the US Womens National Soccer Team. Nick was a sweet, kind, and gentle man, who put others needs before his own. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Saturday, September 2nd, at The Spoken Word Christian Church at 30151 Avenida De Las Banderas, Ste 100, RSM, CA 92688. Pastor Bob Cote will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Nick Khodadads name may be made to The Spoken Word Christian Church at 30151 Avenida De Las Banderas, Suite 100, RSM, CA 92688. Pastor Bob Cote of The Spoken Word Christian Church has been a cherished friend and neighbor to Nick for 17 years. Bob was a great source of comfort and support to Nick this last month.
