Paul Stephen Swift, 73, was born on September 1, 1951 in Pasadena, California to loving parents Joseph and Eleanor Swift. Paul left from Westminster, California to live with Jesus on June 25, 2025. Paul is survived by his wife of 50 years Lorena Kirsten Linnell Swift. He is also survived by his daughters Patricia Swift Okura and Stephanie Swift Jensrud, sons-in-law William Okura and Jeremy Jensrud, grandchildren Darren and Kiersten Okura and Sierra Jensrud Ainnu, grandson-in-law Andrew Ainnu, and great-grandsons Benjamin and Kaiden Ainnu, as well as Paul’s brother Robert Swift and his family.

Paul graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute in 1969 and from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona in 1973. After retiring from a lifetime career with Sears Roebuck, Paul earned his Master of Arts degree in Christian Ministry & Leadership from Biola University, Talbot School of Theology in 2014, and served as a chaplain at UCI Medical Center in Irvine until his health necessitated his retirement from UCI in 2024.

Paul was a loving husband and father and the spiritual leader of his family. He was a friend to all and a caring neighbor in Orange County for over 51 years. He was an active member of Saddleback Church for 40 years. Up until his departure to heaven, Paul was an engaged force in the lives of his daughters and their families.

Inurnment will be Monday, July 14, 1:00pm, at Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, California.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, 10:30am, at Saddleback Church Rancho Capistrano, 29251 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675.
