Peter Frederick Harriman

Peter Frederick Harriman was born on December 31, 1948 to Rene Harriman and Sybil MacGowan in Vienna, Austria where his father served in the British military. He grew up in southern England in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. Peter grew tired of the harsh English winters and sought warmer weather in the United States. He moved around the country with his siblings and settled in sunny Southern California, where he met his wife, Dee. They were married on January 20, 1990 and they had three daughtersOlivia, Sophie and Cassie. Peter worked as an accountant for many years, but his real passions lay outside of work. He was a lover of nature and spent a great deal of his time outdoorswalking the family dog, Indy, going on morning runs, or playing soccer. After he retired, he decided to take classes at Orange Coast College and he took it upon himself to get in the best shape of his life, enrolling in a wide array of fitness classes including tai chi, karate, yoga, weightlifting and of course, soccer. He was very passionate about music. He took piano, choir, and guitar classes and was always whistling or singing the same songs as he went about his day. He was diagnosed with dementia in late 2017. It was a fast-acting and debilitating disease that led to his death on October 5, 2019.
