Rebecca Anne Mabry

Rebecca Anne Mabry passed away in her home in Mission Viejo, California, in May of 2022 at the age of 65. She was born on November 26, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Owen David Ross and Sandra June Rosenberg (Court). As the eldest of five siblings, Rebecca worked hard from a young age to care for her sisters, Cecilia Johnson (Ross), Elizabeth Braukmann (Ross), Jennifer Carlson (Ross), and her brother, David Ross. As soon as she was able, Rebecca enlisted in the United States Air Force in the hopes of seeing the world and securing better opportunities for herself. While stationed on the island of Okinawa, Japan, she worked as a radio technician and learned how to operate and thrive in high pressure working conditions. Upon her return to civilian life, Rebecca completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Maryland and went on to a 35 year career in the Medical Devices industry where she held a variety of leadership positions. Throughout her career, she took enormous pride in her work and made the most of both her technical skills and her natural instinct to care for those in need. Nevertheless, Rebecca found her greatest pride and joy in raising a family alongside her husband, Eric Mabry, with whom she had two children, Sean Macauley Mabry and Sarah Jennifer Mabry. She was notorious among the family for doting on her children and insisting they have all the best toys, experiences, and hotel rooms her money could buy. Rebeccas is survived by her children, her former husband, her three remaining siblings, along with an extended family of loving nieces and nephews. Memorial plans will be announced once they are finalized, and there will also be a small, private ceremony to scatter her ashes at sea. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation or Working Wardrobes. As a final note, the family would like to thank Rebecca for everything she provided, including the extended family who continue to support them now.
