Robert Alan Scott passed away on Monday January 11, 2021 at home with his loving family at his bedside. He was born August 8, 1961 in Arcadia California. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne (Gigi) Muis, parents Dan & Sandy Scott, sister Merrilu London (Jack), nieces and nephews Bonnie and Randy Gravett, Justin and Marissa Gravett, Tina, Ava & Xander Kissell, Austin Bell, Aunt & Uncle Judi and Clyde Brewton. He spent his early years in West Covina until his family moved to Fallbrook where he enjoyed rural life, which included horses, motorcycles and snakes (his 4H project). He graduated from Fallbrook High School and attended USCS and UTI of Arizona. Bob learned to swim and dive in the family pool when he was 3 years old. Being in the water was his passion. You could usually see him at Marine Stadium waterskiing or Air Chairing on his days off. He loved being out on his boat every chance he could. His love of water stayed with him his entire life and so it was no suprise that it led him to a27-year career with the Orange County Harbor Patrol. Bob was a "people person" Always willing to pitch in and help where needed. He would drop what ever he was doing to come and help anyone who called. As a past president of the Newport Beach Exchange Club he was always selling tickets, doing fundraisers and helping under privileged children. He got married to his soul mate, retired and they bought their dream home. They had a vision of an outrageous Hawaiian Party Themed backyard. He loved to entertain and just went to school at Slap Yo Daddy to learn more about smoking and perfecting his Bar B Q skills. The backyard has a tiki bar, horseshoe pits, jacuzzi, sand, 7-foot Tiki God waterfall that shoots flames out of his head, full kitchen, outdoor living, and fire pit. They would spend many days and nights outdoors enjoying it. lf you were one of the lucky ones who knew him, you knew he was the life of the party and how much he would light up a room with his presence and infectious laugh. lf he was around you knew you were gonna have a good time with lots of shenanigans. One of his friends recently told me "lf you want to have a good time invite Bob." Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful son and devoted friend. He was a bright, positive light to all that knew him, that light has been extinguished way too soon. We are heartbroken that we have lost one of the kindest, most generous fun loving guys on earth. lt is hard to know what life will look like without him and we will miss him forever as he touched the hearts and souls of so many people. There will be a private ceremony with the scattering of ashes off the Hunington Beach pier where other family members have been laid to rest. He will greatly missed. May he rest in peace. ln lieu of flowers Bob requested donations be made to the Pacreatic Cancer Society, www.pancan.org, or to Silverado Hospice.
