Robert C. Jordan, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Irvine, California surrounded by his family. Bob was born May 8, 1947, in Bloomington, Indiana to Harold W. and Elise P. Jordan. He married Pamela C. Perkins on May 12, 1979, in New York City. This year would mark 40 wonderful years together. Pam and Bob moved to southern California and were blessed with two daughters, Nicole and Laura. Bob attended Howe Military Academy and graduated in 1965. He attended Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management and was active with Delta Chi fraternity. Bob always loved to travel and upon graduation from college, he traveled for 18 months all over the world. This trip along with a summer job with Cartan Travel set the trajectory of his life. His Westin Hotel career began in San Francisco at the St. Francis Hotel and he would also leave his mark on Westin Ilikai Hotel in Honolulu, The Plaza Hotel in New York City, the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa CA. He also worked for IHG hotels at the Anaheim Holiday Inn where he got involved with that community. Bob was President of the Anaheim Rotary Club from 1993 to 1994, following in his dads legacy. Both Bob and Pam are Paul Harris Fellows. Bob left the hotel hospitality industry in 1997 to begin his own business in the residential window cleaning industry. His endeavors in this field were very successful for nearly 20 years - first in Overland Park, Kansas and then in Irvine, California. Bob sold his business and retired in January 2018. Bob enjoyed traveling, the theater, music entertainment, boating, cooking, golf, and current events and hardly missed an episode of the CBS Sunday Morning Show. Bob, along with Pam, was a gracious host to many gatherings at home, always the first to offer a welcoming hug and a giant smile. He cared deeply for his family and friends. His charismatic personality was warm and genuine to anyone he came across. He was always honest, thoughtful, respectful, trustworthy, and was the first to lend a helping hand and share his bit of wisdom. Bob will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather (Pops) and will be thought of fondly by all that knew him. Bob is survived by his wife, Pamela, daughters and son in laws, Nicole and Chris Richardson, Laura and Eric Linebarger and four loving grandchildren, Celia and Elliot Richardson and Claire and Whitney Linebarger. He also leaves his sister and brother in law, Elise and Russell Kushigian, along with his niece Melissa and her beautiful family. Bob was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Elise P. and Harold W. Jordan. There will be a Celebration of Life on May 11th in Irvine, California.
