Robert Ray Callaway was born on October 19th, 1956. Robert was born in Orange County, CA to Carl and Elizabeth Callaway. Robert and his family moved to Mission Viejo when Robert was 10 with his sisters Debbie and Pam and brothers Sean, David and Stewart. Living in a close-knit community in Mission Viejo, Robert met lifelong friends, Edward and Raymond Duddridge. Being close with the Duddridge’s, Robert went onto meet his future wife, Carrie. Robert worked at the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach for most of his childhood and leading into adulthood. From working at Saddleback Park, Robert went onto riding and getting sponsored by Kawasaki. Robert had a fulfilling career working as a Computer Technician for multiple fortune 500 companies where he was able to travel the world and gain respect in his industry.
Carrie and Robert married on June 2nd, 1979, built their life in Mission Viejo and had one son, Nicholas. Nicholas spent his childhood riding dirt bikes, playing on the lake, and fixing computers with Robert. One of Nicholas’s and Robert’s greatest projects was building a gaming center for all of Nicholas’s friends, a place where many memories were created. Nicholas and Robert often bonded over history facts and movie quotes. Robert was over the moon to be able to see Nicholas get married to his wife, Anna.
Robert was known as the “Tech Wiz” to everyone because he had the answer or solution to any issue there was, ranging from computers, TVs, cars and so much more. Everyone who knew Robert knew that his heart was too big for his chest as he was always willing to help at the drop of a hat. He was kind, giving, and above all a generous man. He would offer the shirt off his own back to people in need, even if he knew he would suffer. Roberts love and legacy will never be forgotten and he will be truly missed.
