William Brian Lynch, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California.
Born on March 16, 1952, in Lafayette, Indiana, William was the second oldest of seven children. Growing up in a large family gave him a deep appreciation for connection, adventure, and laughter. In his younger years, he enjoyed attending music concerts and creating countless memories with his brothers and sisters.
William proudly served his country as an electrician in the United States Navy aboard the USS Oriskany. His service took him to the Philippines, where he met the love of his life, Jane. Together, they built a beautiful marriage that lasted 48 years, rooted in devotion, strength, and unwavering love.
William was a graduate of Coleman College and a pioneer in the field of computer programming. A man of many talents, William had an incredible skill set and an endless curiosity for how things worked. He could repair and restore nearly anything—whether it was cameras, computers, cars, or electronics—and often took pride in tackling his own home improvements. He also had a deep appreciation for music, playing guitar, and tuning and playing the piano with a natural ear.
William’s hobbies reflected his wide-ranging interests and zest for life. He loved attending all kinds of car and RV shows, riding his motorcycle, and spending time camping outdoors. A passionate photographer, he collected vintage cameras, developed film, and captured life’s moments through his lens. He and Jane also traveled on many cruise adventures, exploring Alaska, Mexico, Hawaii, and beyond—always embracing new experiences with enthusiasm and gratitude.
Known for his kindness, generosity, and support for his family, William was a loving husband, proud father, and doting grandfather who placed his family above all. His humor, wisdom, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Jane; his daughters, Sheryl and Katie; grandchildren Bradley and William; and his siblings, who will continue to carry forward his legacy of love, resilience, and joy. William’s life was a blessing, his presence a gift, and his memory will remain a treasure to all who loved him.
